Since the Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Biology I had the opportunity to study more deeply the subterranean life in Brazilian caves. From that moment on, with the support of Professor Maria Elina Bichuette, I decided that I will work with cave ecology and the cave habitat would also be my &#8220;lab office&#8221;. I research cave microorganisms and the ecological role of these microscopic organisms in subterranean ecological interactions. My first studies were in Brazilian caves and I am currently working in the Czech Republic.
