The Cave and Karst Art Contect of the FSE is organised in the frame of the International Year of Caves and Karst.
The International Year of Caves and Karst IYCK is organized by the International Union of Speleology UIS, the worldwide organization of cave and karst explorers, scientists, managers, and educators. They are joined by many national and international organizations. Originally the IYCK was to take place in 2021, but due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic most activities took place online. The UIS decided to extend the IYCK to 2022.
The motto of the IYCK is: Explore – Understand – Protect
