Since 2014 I have been fascinated by researching, measuring and documenting the
currently third longest cave in Germany, “Fuchslabyrinth” (the fox labyrinth) in
Schmalfelden/Schrozberg in Baden-Württemberg.
The more than 14 km long cave is located in the Upper Muschelkalk and has two floors, a dry part and a deeper water passage. The loam-filled corridors are poor in sinter formations but relatively rich in bone fragments of Nothosaurus in the walls.
