Czech Republic
I’ve been an enthusiastic cave explorer since 2011. Since the Bachelor’s Degree in Biology I had the opportunity to study more deeply the subterranean life in Brazilian caves. From that moment on, with the support of Professor Maria Elina Bichuette, I decided that I will work with cave ecology and the cave habitat would also be my “lab office”. I research cave microorganisms and the ecological role of these microscopic organisms in subterranean ecological interactions. My first studies were in Brazilian caves and I am currently working in the Czech Republic. I now also study microbial ecology in other ecosystems, but the subterranean environment still remains my favorite place.
Light in the Darkness
Poem, 31-3-2022
I wanted to express my emotions and feelings when I am working or visiting a cave. My intention was to expose how a cave transforms my feelings and allows me to know myself better.
